BONE FRACTURE
A bone fracture occurs when there is a break in the continuity of the bone. In most cases, this occurs as a result of an injury, in which a significant force is applied to the bone, such as after a fall. In pathological fractures however, the bone breaks without being subjected to any significant force, such as in cases where the bone is weakened (for example, by osteoporosis, bone cancer etc).

PROLAPSED INTERVERTEBRAL DISC
This is commonly referred to as a "Slipped Disc". It is a condition affecting the spine, in which the soft, central portion of the intervertebral disc (known as the nucleus pulposus) bulges out due to a tear in the outer fibrous layer of the disc. This bulging of the disc may cause compression of the surrounding structures, including the nerves, resulting in the symptom of "nerve pain" to the affected limb.
