He has dual sub-specialty areas of training in Sports and Trauma Surgery.
Common conditions managed by and common procedures performed by Dr Oh include:
• Arthroscopic knee surgery, including ACL reconstruction, meniscus surgery and complex repairs for multiple lesions
• Arthroscopic shoulder surgery, including rotator cuff surgery and Bankart repair
• Cartilage Regeneration
Dr Oh graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1995. His post-graduate qualifications include a post-graduate degree in General Surgery from the Fellowship of the Royal Surgeons of Edinburgh, a Master of Medicine (Orthopaedics), Singapore, and a Membership with the Fellowship of the Royal Surgeons of Edinburgh (Orthopaedics).
Prior to joining Island Orthopaedic Consultants, Dr Oh was a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He actively shares his expertise as a clinical teacher. Between 2007 and 2009, Dr Oh was an instructor at Arthrocare Shoulder & Knee Arthroscopy workshop and a Masters of Medicine GP course tutor. He is also active in conducting orthopedic research, which spans from osteoporosis to cartilage regeneration and injuries in children.
Dr Oh is multilingual; he is fluent in English, Mandarin, French, Cantonese, Malay and Thai.
