Dr Tan's sub-specialty interest is in Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology
Common conditions managed and procedures performed by Dr Tan include:
• Gastrointestinal diseases (e.g. gastro-oesophageal reflux, peptic ulcer disease, recurrent abdominal pain, inflammatory bowel disease, chronic constipation) • Feeding and swallowing disorders, failure to thrive • Liver diseases (e.g. biliary atresia, chronic hepatitis B, metabolic liver disease, NASH) • Diagnostic endoscopy • Ambulatory 24-hour oesophageal pH/impedence monitoring

Dr Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1994. Her post-graduate qualifications include a Master of Medicine (Paediatrics), Singapore, a Membership of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Edinburgh, and a Diploma in Dermatology (Family Practice) from the National University of Singapore.
Dr Tan is trained in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. She received her subspecialty training at King's College Hospital, London.
She also has a strong interest in liver disease research and has been award the ExxonMobil-NUS Research Fellowship for Clinicians in 2007 - 2009. She is still currently the Principal Investigator for research projects with A*STAR, KKH and Novartis.
