Dr Magherra graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1990. He was admitted as a Fellow in Otorhinolaryngology to both the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1996. He subsequently underwent a Head and Neck Fellowship at the prestigious Greenlane Hospital ENT, Head and Neck Surgery Department (now Auckland City Hospital), which is the largest hospital in New Zealand and one of the highest volume Head and Neck Cancer Surgery Centres in the world. He has vast subspecialty training and experience in Head & Neck and Thyroid surgery.
Dr Magherra’s experience in treating both general ENT conditions and Head & Neck Cancers is much sought after and he regularly lends his expertise to Alexandra Hospital and Changi General Hospital.
His capability saw him spearheading the Head & Neck Cancer Clinic in Changi General Hospital, becoming an examiner for the MMed ENT examinations and as a manuscript reviewer for the Singapore Medical Journal. For his achievements in the public sector, Dr Magherra was awarded Changi General Hospital’s Service Quality Award.
