Dr Tang completed his basic MBBS degree at the National University of Singapore in 1999, before starting his paediatrics and neonatal training at the Department of Paediatrics, National University Hospital and KK Women's & Children's Hospital (Neonatology) from 2003. He obtained his MRCPCH (UK), MMED (Paediatrics) in 2005 and completed his advanced specialist training in 2009.
Apart from practicing ambulatory paediatrics, he has good experience in developmental behavioural paediatrics, helping children with special needs like autism, learning and developmental difficulties. He left University Children's Medical Institute as Head of Child Development Unit om Dec 2009, to pursue an Executive Master of Business Administration.
Dr Tang is also a Search and Rescue Medical Officer, trained in heliborne medical evacuation in the Republic of Singapore Air Force, 1 Medical Squadron. He is trained to provide critical care in aeromedical transportation.
Dr Tang aspires to become a leading clinician administrator, with a strong personal goal to improve national standards of care.
